What is the privacy and cookie policy of FH Counselling

FH Counselling is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy sets out how FH Counselling uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website or if you attend a therapy session. This policy statement may occasionally be changed and you should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st October 2020.

Contact information

Any information that FH Counselling receive from you and the general public via this website is used for the purpose of contact only. We will NEVER divulge, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to any third parties.

IMPORTANT: Your information for a therapy session

  • Hand written notes are made during a therapy session with me (FH Counselling).
  • These notes are destroyed at the end of the final session.
  • Session notes can be made available on request before they are destroyed. Please allow 5-7 days for these notes to be collated and to be put into a typed format. These typed notes can then be collected in person by you or I can deliver them in person to you.
  • Notes are never posted to clients.
  • Your name, address, emergency contact details and your GP details are recorded to comply with UK law and business tax purposes.
  • FH Counselling is committed to ensuring that your information is secure and safe.
  • All therapy sessions are held in strict confidence and information verbal or written is never divulged to any third parties.

Your Rights

You have certain legal rights to control what we do with your information. This includes a right to get access to your personal information; to request us to correct or update incorrect information and to receive the personal information you provided in a portable format.
For more information about your rights, including how to exercise them and the circumstances in which they apply, please contact the national Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal information, you can by writing to FH Counselling.
